Introducing ODIE 0.5

Rebecca Crowley

University of Pittsburgh

This talk will demonstrate the first version of ODIE - an application and framework for Ontology Development and Information Extraction. ODIE can be used to (1) annotate document set with one or more ontologies, (2) visualize relationships between documents and ontologies, and (3) suggest additions to existing ontologies. ODIE enables use of and extension of NCBO ontologies through natural language processing techniques. In addition to a demonstration of the first version of software, we will also discuss our progress on two ongoing research projects, and plans for the current year.
